Step 2: Enter A New Code
We talked before that your code must be robust. So, put something unique. Enter the code you have decided on and press the lock button. Not every model has a lock button. - Step 3: Press 2 (the keypad will flash green, and you will hear a single beep).
- Step 4: Press the Kwikset button.
- Step 5: Enter the code you want to delete and press the Kwikset button.
- Step 6: Again, enter the same user code.
- Step 7: Press the Kwikset button.
You have successfully removed the code if you hear a long single beep and the keypad flashes green. And if the code removing process was unsuccessful, the keypad will flash red, and you will hear three beeps. You will have to repeat the steps carefully.
Remove All User Codes from Kwikset Smart Lock:
- Keep the door open while you apply to the program.
- Allow the lock to run the program.
- Press 4 (the keypad will flash green, and you will hear a short single beep).
- Press the Kwikset button.
- Press ‘9 – 9 – 9 – 9 – 9 – 9’.
- Press the Kwikset button.
- Press ‘9 – 9 – 9 – 9 – 9 – 9’ again.
- Press the Kwikset button.
You have successfully removed the code if you hear a long single beep and the keypad flashes green. And if the code removing process was unsuccessful, the keypad will flash red, and you will hear three beeps. You will have to repeat the steps carefully.
Perform this process at step 2: Press the programming button if you have never changed the preset programming code. Hold it until you hear two beeps. It should not take long. And if you have changed the programming code, enter your code and press the Kwikset button. When the keypad flashes green, and you hear a short beep, then it’s done.
Where Is The Program Button On A Kwikset Smart Lock?
The programming button is always in the back panel of the door lock. Kwikset SmartLock models have the programming button on the inside of the interior assembly. To reach the programming button, you might need to remove the interior cover. The button is often in the middle and easy to find out.
